Next, we need to remove any stubborn contaminants using a Mothers Clay Bar or Mothers Speed Clay
Using half a bar of Clay, knead it with your fingers into a nice flat working surface.
Lubricate an area around half a metre square with either the lubricant that came with your Mothers Clay Kit and then rub the clay over the panel in long linear motions. If using Mothers Speed Clay, use either the Mothers Instant Detailer or suds from the Mothers Car Wash as the lubricant.
Don’t press too hard as you should feel the clay begin to pick up and remove contaminants as you work.
Fold your clay into itself, and knead it back into shape between each section, and dispose of it if you drop it on the ground in order to prevent any grit or other particles from scratching your paint.
Once you complete a section, and the clay glides over your paintwork with no resistance, wipe away any excess detailer or lubricant with a clean microfibre towel and move on until the whole car is complete.
